Honoring the Pillars of Financial Integrity on CA Day
Every year on 1st July, India celebrates CA Day, a tribute to the foundation of one of the country’s most prestigious professional bodies, the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI). It was on this day in 1949 that ICAI was established under an Act of Parliament, making it the second-largest accounting body in the world today.
CA Day is not just a date in the calendar it marks the relentless dedication, ethics, and expertise that Chartered Accountants bring to the economic and financial framework of the country. It is a day to recognize the profession’s commitment to financial discipline, auditing transparency, and business accountability.
Dr. O.P. Gupta Shares Wisdom with Future CAs
On the occasion of CA Day 2025, it was a matter of great pride that Dr. O.P. Gupta, Director of Agarwal Girls College, was invited by the ICAI Sriganganagar Branch to interact with a batch of CA Intermediate students during their Orientation Program.
With decades of academic excellence and leadership, Dr. Gupta’s presence added a unique dimension to the program. Known for his practical and participative teaching methods, he didn’t just deliver a lecture he engaged the students in an immersive learning experience.
Project-Based Learning for CA Aspirants
In a well-planned interactive session, Dr. Gupta divided the students into three groups, each comprising six members. These groups were assigned three distinct projects related to their curriculum and professional understanding. Over the course of the session, students worked collaboratively, explored their topics in depth, and prepared comprehensive reports.
These three student reports, as mentioned by Dr. Gupta, may hold significant value for future reference both for academic use and practical application in the professional world.
This approach not only encouraged teamwork and critical thinking but also allowed students to apply their knowledge in a structured, real-world manner a skill essential for every aspiring CA.
